Introducing Leanne Gorman….

Tamworth, born Leanne, landed in Sydney in 1994 and soon started in real estate, working for an independent in Mosman after completing a course in business studies.

She joined Newington Village Real Estate in 2000 and attributes her longevity to her great working relationship with our managing director Matt Hamilton and her love for the Newington area.

The mother to Georgia, 11 and Michaela, 7, says the lovely village vibe and the friendly community spirit sets Newington apart. Leanne says its also special that Newington was the Sydney Olympic Village and for several weeks in September and October 2000, was home to some of the superstars of world sport.

A sporting fan herself, Leanne likes to hit the courts of the basketball and tennis variety. Leanne has even shot hoops at Qudos Bank Arena at Olympic Park when playing for St George and the Ryde Bulls as a point guard and a three-point specialist.

Leanne has been our trust accountant since for 20 years and there is nothing she doesn’t know about the business and how it operates.

A real estate specialist since 1995, Leanne started in administration and as a general manager before transitioning into property management and sales. 

Leanne was drawn to the property industry because of the broad range of roles available in a real estate office. According to Leanne, real estate is more than listing and selling properties. Instead, it’s appeal lies in the broad range of people she meets.

After experiencing all aspects of real estate, Leanne, who loves mathematics, naturally gravitated to trust accounting. In her role as our trust accountant, Leanne oversees every financial transaction, whether it’s a deposit paid by a buyer or a tenant’s weekly rent.

It’s Leanne’s responsibility to ensure our company is always audit-ready and our landlords and other creditors are paid on time.
